Assign custom names to storage systems

Unisphere supports the ability to assign custom names to storage systems.

About this task

Steps

  1. Select a storage system.
  2. Select System > System Properties (alternatively, click View System Properties in the Actions panel in the System view).
  3. In the Array Display Name field, click Edit icon.
  4. Type an Array Display Name. Array names must be unique from other array names and cannot exceed 32 characters. Only alphanumeric characters, underscores ( _ ), and (-) are allowed. Array names are case-insensitive.
  5. Click the checkmark to apply the name or the X icon to discard it.
